TSC swimmers dug out their war paint and their very best swimming for the first event of the new City of Plymouth League at the Life Centre today. Huge congratulations to everyone in team Tavistock and a very big thank you, not only to the volunteers and officials but also to some seniors who put their bodies and sanity on the line to race for the first time in several years. It was great to watch you all race.
TSC swimmer of the meet was Cora who, when asked to step up from her age group and swim the 100m fly in the 14 & under category, didn’t even blink but just went for it like a champ. An honourable mention to Ollie for also doing his first 100 fly. He may not have enjoyed it, but he did absolutely smash it.
Many thanks to Gareth for organising the team and to Kingsbridge Kingfishers, not only for lending us a couple of swimmers but also for making it all happen. We’re looking forward to round two!
