Many people would think that four galas in little over a month were more than enough, but not some of our younger swimmers. Offered an invitation from our neighbours at Okehampton Otters to take part in their LL4 Easter Sprint meet, eight took up the challenge. They all had a cracking afternoon’s racing, with lots of PBs, six medals (Rosie, Lily and Lottie), and Phoebe, the youngest of the eight, registering times for both her first 50m butterfly and her first 50m backstroke.
A good day out for our officials too. Sarah S, a J1 trainee, is now very close to qualification and Caroline F completed her 20hrs poolside experience as a J2, allowing her to move on to J2S training.
Very well done to all the swimmers and thank you to our coach (Gareth), the team managers (Henry and Lucy), all the officials and our hosts.
